LOUISE ROSEN

Louise Rosen has been working in independent media and the arts for over 25 years.  In the film world she has serves as an international distributor, producer, editorial and business consultant, and sales agent for project finance. Her projects have included Oscar, Emmy, International Emmy, Sundance, and other award-winning films. As producer, her most recent doc feature, Killing for Love (aka The Promise, 2016 IDFA Masters section), launched theatrically in the US in December 2017 through IFC Films/Sundance Selects. Louise tutors annually at Documentary Campus Master School and has been a speaker and moderator at many conferences and film festivals, including Toronto's Hot Docs Forum, New York's IFP Film Week, Sheffield DocFest, and DocsBarcelona. For four festival seasons Louise served as Executive & Artistic Director of the Maine Jewish Film Festival, growing the festival from a largely single city/venue event to statewide status.  She was also the Founding Director of the Points North Documentary Forum, a professional development initiative, at the Camden International Film Festival. Louise is on the Advisory Board of the Independent Feature Project/NY and is a former Trustee of the Maine Media Workshops + College. In 2015 Louise was profiled in Maine Magazine's “50 People – Bold Visionaries Defining Our State” and that same year was a selected speaker for MaineLive 2015, a day-long series of TED-style talks hosted by Maine Magazine.
