Dawn is a communications and training specialist with over 20 years of experience working for organizations in the non-profit and arts sectors. In her current role as IATSE Local 856’s Training Coordinator, Dawn works closely with members to develop curriculum to meet their professional development needs and to ensure that our local crew members here in Manitoba have the competitive skills needed to flourish in the film industry.
Dawn joined IATSE 856 after spending almost a decade as Volunteer Manitoba’s Manager of Communications and Outreach. She is an experienced public speaker and has delivered keynotes and presentations to both local and national audiences. She has also developed and delivered training for both individuals and groups on the topics of volunteer engagement, leadership, marketing and communications. Currently she sits on the board of Volunteer Management Professionals of Canada and the community development committee for Rainbow Resource Centre.
