Jason Burnstick

Musician, Singer-Songwriter & Composer

Jason is a Cree musician, singer-songwriter, and composer based out of Winnipeg Manitoba. He is the 2020 Leo Award Composer of the Year for Best TV Movie, a 2021 Juno Nominee, and 1/2 of the multi-award winning and Burnstick. Jason’s many accolades also include an Indigenous Music Award (2015), an APCA (2010), a CAMA Award (2006), and several nominations (Jessie Richardson & Dora Nominee (2009), Juno Nominee (2007)) Jason’s musical expression comes from his original vintage 1920’s Weissenborn lap slide guitars.
