Jeff Newman

Filmmaker Jeff Newman kicked off his career in dramatic fashion, winning the illustrious World’s Richest Pitch competition at the Banff Television Festival in 2004. He went on to produce the Gemini Award winning documentary Hockey Brawl for CTV. Since then, he’s created documentaries and doc-series for broadcasters such as CBC, OLN, Sportsnet, TSN, Smithsonian Channel and Discovery to name a few. Most recently, Jeff co-produced and directed the critically acclaimed series First Contact for APTN. Jeff lives and works in Winnipeg.
