Jérémie Wookey is an award-winning Producer, Director and co-founder of Wookey Films. Since 2013, he has overseen development and production of over 190 episodes of nationally-televised programming for CBC, Radio-Canada, TV5, APTN, AMI and Unis Tv. The work he’s produced has earned the company a Canadian Screen Award win (Indigiqueer 2024), a Banff Rockie Award (A Nation and her Mother 2022) and 14 Prix Gémeaux (French-Canadian Emmys) nominations including top-tier recognitions for Best Youth Series (Manaachihtow, 2025; C’est moi qui décide! 2024), Best Arts & Culture Doc series (Encré dans la peau, 2022) and Best Arts & Culture Documentary (Les boys du ballet, 2016).

In 2025 Jérémie oversaw the production and delivery of Wookey Films’ original scripted comedy, Malgré moi (Radio-Canada, Dec 2025). Earlier that year, his original scripted comedy, Matter of Time, which was selected for the 2024 Indigenous Screen Office Pitch Summit at the Banff World Media Fest traveled to the Canadian Consulate’s Creative Accelerator Program in Los Angeles where the project was further developed with execs from CBC, Netflix, HBO, Apple and Disney.

Since launching, Jérémie and his sister Janelle, have taken Wookey Films from a two-sibling operation to a dynamic company employing 15 full time staff with end-to-end production and post production capabilities.

Jérémie is a proud member of the Red River Métis Nation and of the LGBTQ+ community. He is the primary lead at Wookey’s LA office.
