Libby Lea is a producer who thrives where the action happens — on set. With over a decade of experience and a Broadcasting diploma from 2002, she’s built a career that blends creativity, organization, and a passion for storytelling.
Before finding her home in film and video production, Libby worked in marketing, communications, and even politics — experiences that sharpened her skills in leadership, collaboration, and managing the beautiful chaos of production.
She joined FRANK Digital in 2017 as Head of Production, keeping shoots running smoothly and clients happy. Her credits include CBC documentaries Predator, Fostering Hope, and Humboldt, along with several AMI Our Community documentaries. In 2018, she became VP of Production, helping drive FRANK’s continued growth.
In 2023, Libby made her directorial debut with the award-winning CBC documentary Running for Your Life and currently produces AMI’s hit series Game Changers, where host Dave Brown meets Canadians making a difference in the disability community.
Outside of work, Libby cherishes her role as a mother, adores her dog, and keeps her energy up with a lifelong love of running.
