Mehernaz Lentin is the National Director of Feature Film (English) at Telefilm Canada. She plays a critical role in the Crown corporation with the responsibility of overseeing Telefilm’s feature film funding programs, from development and production (big budget, low budget, theatrical documentaries, Talent to Watch) to marketing and audience engagement initiatives. With over 20 years of experience in the Canadian film and television industry, Mehernaz oversaw funding and pre-licensing for Canadian features at CBC, supporting over 50 films that reflect a range of perspectives through character-driven storytelling. Prior to CBC, she was an independent producer, with credits including Portrait of a Serial Monogamist (2015), Fall (2014), and multiple collaborations with Deepa Mehta.
