Tyson is a graduate of the I. H. Asper School of Business and has a BCOMM Honours Degree in marketing. He wrote and directed the feature film Lovesick (Amazon Prime, Roku). The film premiered at the Whistler Film Festival in 2016 where it sold out two screenings. It won the audience award at Cinequest in San Jose (US Premiere). Tyson was a co-executive producer and second unit director on the 1-hr drama series Burden of Truth (CBC, The CW, Netflix). He was a producer on the Shorty award winning podcast series, The Truth Sharing Podcasts and the ground-breaking podcast version of the Taken documentary series about Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls. Tyson is committed to the growth and sustainability of the film and television industry in Manitoba and is always looking to learn something new.
